"In the Pink" at St. Joseph's Imaging Center |
Approximately thirty Girl Scouts and their female family members from Saddle Brook, Ramsey, and Oradell attended a special "In the Pink" program on May 1, 2007 at St. Joseph's Imaging Center in Clifton.
After a tour of the Imaging Center's diagnostic facilities, the girls met Marie Marrinan from St. Joseph Regional Medical Center's Division of Breast Surgery who gave an informative presentation on teen breast health awareness. Marge Latrella of St. Joseph's Heart Center spoke about women's heart and the importance of good nutrition and exercise. Finally, Moses D. Alvarez spoke about relaxation and alternative techniques to manage stress and pain.Special thanks to the Imaging Center's Physician Referral Specialist Gail Della Fave and Physician Sales Representative Dale Gellis for planning and arranging this highly educational and enjoyable experience. |

Aimee's GeoCaching Story~
Hi, my name is Aimee. I would like to tell you about how I got in to the fun, addictive game of Geocaching.
On April 22, 2006, I attended the Girl Scouts (of Bergen County) Geocaching pilot program. I was totally hooked ever since! At the program I learned what Geocaching was, how to use the web site, how to use the hand-held GPS, what Travel Bugs are, and so much more!
I’ve been Geocaching quite a lot lately! I went to Bergen County Park, Woodland Park, a Teaneck park, and even a wooded area behind the Wal-Mart shopping center!
Out of all the ‘gotchas’ I’ve received, I liked the Dallas Police key chain the best from the little wooded area I went to.
Just recently, I placed my own cache in Miers Park, along with a travel bug named Rupert. Rupert wants to go to Toronto, Ontario Canada, so if you plan to go there sometime, take Rupert with you! He loves plane rides! First-class is a must-have!
Even if you don’t succeed with your first cache finding, don’t be discouraged, if it wasn’t moved, keep looking. Once you find it, the long search will be well worth it!
Hope you catch the geocache fever! It’s contagious!
