Girl Scouting is a volunteer-driven organization. Currently more than 3000 adults volunteer with the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County. Most work directly with girls in a troop setting, providing them with an adult role model. The remaining volunteers share their skills in administrative positions or make short-term commitment using their skills in human relations, training, science and technology, mentorship and fund raising programs.

  • Within Your Neighborhood Work directly with girls in troops or special events organized by your town. Or work as an administrator recruiting volunteers, helping with the cookie program or coordinating a special event.
  • In the Out-of-Doors Conduct mini workshops for girls in the outdoor classroom at Camp Glen Spey.
  • With the Program Department Organize and conduct activities, games, and workshops that teach girls through FUN experiences. Each program has a theme, so pick your theme and share your enthusiasm and interests.
  • Adult Opportunities Help adults learn by teaching special skills and provide information about Girl Scouting and how to work with girls.
  • With the Development Office Assist with the council fund raising events.
  • Parent/Guardian HELP is Needed for Girl Scouts You can enrich your daughters Girl Scout experience by participating in various ways, including:
