Adult Recognitions is a key to the retention of a volunteer~ learn how to fill out the BIO sheets and application forms for awards. Task Force members will answer your questions and arrange small group meetings if assistance is needed. Service Unit Manager and/or Town Adult Recognitions Chair are encouraged to attend.

CAMP CERTIFICATION
Whether you camp at Glen Spey or a non-council site, a good knowledge of the total camping experience is important. While learning the girl/adult planning process and camping skills, you will have FUN, yes.... FUN! Groups going camping must be accompanied by a Certified Camper. Fee is $20.00 per person for site fee and book. Additional food costs will be determined by the number of registrants.
Attendance for all dates is required to receive certification!

CAMP RECERTIFICATION
If you were GSCBC camp certified prior to 1999, you must pass this course in order to continue camping with your group. Glen Spey as well as out-of-council applications will be denied without this recertification.

FIRST AID TRAINING- American Heart Association
Reservations are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Mail registration form from 'The Source' along with your check made payable to GSCBC to reserve a seat in class.
No phone or online reservations accepted.
Standard First Aid: If a group is going camping on an overnight trip, an accompanying adult must be a certified first aider.
Maximum participants: 24 adults
Minimum participants: 8 adults
Cost: $50.00 per person
First Aid Certification valid for 3 years. CPR Certification valid for 2 years.

Hands-on experience using Microsoft Excel. This electronic spreadsheet can be used for budgeting and numerical reporting.

Hands-on experience learning Word for Windows, a word processing application. The course covers: creating, editing, saving and printing documents; formatting paragraphs and blocks of text; spell check; search and replace; managing files and more!
Prerequisite: If you have no experience with PCs or Windows, take the Introduction to the PC and Windows first.

DIGITAL PHOTO FUN!
A two session class where students learn the basics of working with digital photos including transferring photos from camera to computer, learning about resolution for printing and resizing for email and more! Finally, have some fun editing and manipulating images using the newly acquired skills.
