Everybody fits somewhere!
Ventures 2000 is a troop for girls (first through twelfth grade) who do not have a troop in their own town. The troop is girl run with adult supervision. Ventures Girl Scouts do all of the traditional Girl Scouting; i.e., camp, service, trips, and award work.
The first meeting of the month is for all levels; the second is by program level with each group having its own leader.
Silver and Gold work sessions will be on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm Brownie/Junior Badge meetings will be on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm

SOME FAQS ABOUT VENTURES 2000 
Q. What is the membership criteria?
A. Girls between the ages of 5-17 who do not belong to an existing troop, and subscribe to the Promise and Law and pay membership registration fees. Willingness to participate in a variety of Girl Scout programs.
Q. Why join Ventures?
A. The meetings are monthly so it is easier for girls with busy schedules to fit in time for Girl Scouts. It's a great chance for girls of different ages, towns, and backgrounds to get together and participate in worthwhile activities.
Q. Who should join Ventures?
A. The group is for girls who are not in a troop because of girls' personal time commitments, no troop in her town, or for girls looking for something different from a troop.
Q. How does Ventures work?
A. The entire troop meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 6:30pm- 8:30pm. The activities revolve around the girls' interests and, of course, aspects of Girl Scouting. Some activities may happen on the Wednesday, and others may be scheduled when most girls are available.
Q. With a troop with many different age groups, how do activities meet everyone's needs?
A. The group will be all ages levels and sub-groups will be organized so that activities can be age appropriate.
Q. How do I join Ventures?
A. Come to one of the monthly meetings and sign up. Girl Scout membership registration is $10.00 per year. Troop dues are $2 per meeting or $20 for the whole year. A parent must fill out the membership registration forms yearly.
